According to U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data, the state of Texas had the largest increase in jobs added for 2022. Throughout the Dallas area, businesses in sectors such as manufacturing and hospitality continue to report a shortage of job applicants. The Dallas area unemployment rate decreased slightly in February 2023 to 3.7%, with more than 4,300 jobs added month over month. Notably, wages have remained flat over the same period.
