WAGE CHANGE: +4.0% YoY

  • Nonfarm wage and salary employment in the Washington, D.C. area is up 3.8% from January 2022.
  • Leisure and hospitality had the largest job growth (+65,900) among all supersectors.
  • The unemployment rate in the U.S. is 3.6% for March 2022, compared to 3.8% in February 2022.
